A man has been jailed for two years for assaulting LGBT+ activist, Izzy Kamikaze, during an anti-lockdown rally outside Leinster House last year.
Michael Quinn, of Malone Flats, Market Street, Ardee, Co Louth, admitted hitting her in the head with a large plank of wood, which had a tricolour attached to it.
Earlier that day, Ms Kamikaze, whose real name is Ruth O’Rourke, took part in a demonstration to show her support to frontline healthcare workers.
