Politicians have demanded clarity on unanswered questions and have insisted that full disclosure is required.
RTÉ representatives are due to be questioned at an Oireachtas Media Committee about the controversial payments made to presenter Ryan Tubridy.
Last night, the broadcaster issued a lengthy statement that said the former director general Dee Forbes was the only member of the RTÉ Executive Board that had all the necessary information to know that Mr Tubridy's publicly declared earnings were incorrect
Current chairperson of the RTÉ Board Siún Ní Raghallaigh and Interim Deputy Director General Adrian Lynch will attend the meeting.
Ms Forbes has said she is unable to attend for medical reasons.
A spokesperson for Ms Forbes said this morning that she is not providing any further comment.

In particular, committee members will probe RTÉ's assertion that Ms Forbes was the only person who could have known figures published for Mr Tubridy's pay were wrong.
While Ms Forbes has said she did not act contrary to advice.
