They are those of a man reporting missing 17 years ago.
Skeletal remains found in a car off a pier in Co Cork have been identified as those of a man missing since 2004.
Gardai say DNA analysis has confirmed the remains are those of 23 year old Barry Coughlan.
He went missing from Crosshaven on May 1st 2004.
His car was discovered by divers last month close to Hugh Coveney Pier in the village.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
