Students who participate in social, cultural or sporting activities while in school should be rewarded part of their Leaving Cert.
That's according to a Fine Gael Senator, who believes students should be given bonus points of up to 15 percent for their extra-curricular activites.
It's proposed that it would be part of any reform of the Leaving Cert, after Higher Education Minister Simon Harris said earlier this week that it doesn't prepare for life beyond school.
