Ballyfermot Assumption Parish said "all are welcome".
A solidarity event is to be held this week, after a church in Dublin 10 faced criticism for flying a pride flag.
Last week, Ballyfermot Assumption Parish shared a picture on social media of the LGBT flag flying outside its church, with a caption saying "all are welcome".
The Facebook post received hundreds of comments, with some labelling the move as "anti-Catholic".
The Ballyfermot Anti Racism Network will hold an event on Friday evening which it says will celebrate and support the local LGBT community.
A Ballyfermot church flew a Pride flag last week to show that "all are welcome", but the church received abusive messages on social media and was asked by the Dublin diocese to remove it because of a stance against displaying flags, @LaurenAnna_1 reports https://t.co/SuYYWYVbyi
