Storm Bert Expected To Dominate The Weekend

Localised flooding, travel disruption and fallen trees may occur as a result of the storm, and further weather warnings will be issued

After a night of significant snowfall in parts of the country, Storm Bert is expected to hit Ireland with strong winds and heavy rain expected.

Met Éireann said the storm will "dominate" the weekend, displacing the Arctic airmass that brought snow and ice over the past few days.

Localised flooding, travel disruption and fallen trees may occur as a result of the storm, and further weather warnings will be issued
