Universum research indicates men prioritise salary.

Workplace practices and ethical standards are among the top career priorities for women going to college.

New research shows men seek high future salaries and career progression.

Cliona O'Dwyer reports:

"Job security is increasing in importance for both male and female students in 2021 due to the pandemic, in this new research from Universum.

Women are more likely to consider job security as a career preference when compared to their men, ranking it as their top consideration this year.

A friendly work environment ranked as one of the most common considerations for both men and women, ranking in the top three employment preferences for both groups.

Women place a higher value on ethics and workplace morals when choosing a career.

Men are more likely to value monetary remuneration and career progression when seeking out a prospective employer. "
