A tax expert says the recent exchequer returns for the past few months have been phenomenal.
Tax revenues in October were 35 per cent ahead of target while corporation tax was a almost a billion euro ahead of target.
There was an exchequer deficit of 7.4 billion euro for the year to the end of October which is an improvement of 4 billion euro on the figure
recorded for the same period last year.
