The number of children on waiting lists for disability assessments has jumped by 25 percent.
The latest annual report published by the HSE revealed that a record breaking number of children were on waiting lists - increasing to over 8 thousand 400 applications.
By the end of 2023, only 13 per cent of assessments were completed in a six month time frame.
Half of the applications made last year were made to assess autism spectrum disorders.
