The Number Of Children On Waiting Lists For Disability Assesments Is Skyrocketing

According to latest reports published by the HSE

The number of children on waiting lists for disability assessments has jumped by 25 percent.

The latest annual report published by the HSE revealed that a record breaking number of children were on waiting lists - increasing to over 8 thousand 400 applications.

By the end of 2023, only 13 per cent of assessments were completed in a six month time frame.

Half of the applications made last year were made to assess autism spectrum disorders.
