The allegations relate to various dates in 2010 and 2011
The trial of an Irish celebrity accused of engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl will take place in October.
The man, who can't be named because of the nature of the charges, is facing three charges of defilement dating back to 2010 and 2011.
The man appeared in court today on bail.
It was his first appearance before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court after his case was sent forward for trial.
His barrister told the judge that his client was seeking the earliest possible trial date because the nature of his work requires him to travel a lot.
The 9th of October was set down for the opening of a trial that is expected to take up to five days.
The allegations relate to various dates in 2010 and 2011 when he’s accused of engaging in sexual acts with a girl under the age of 17 at a number of locations in Dublin City.
Given the nature of the charge, neither he nor the complainant can be identified.
