Trial Underway To Evaluate Suitability Of Puberty Blockers In Children

It comes as the NHS in the UK has decided it will no longer prescribe puberty blockers to children at gender identity clinics.

A leading endocrinologist says the current model of care for children with gender confusion is harmful.

It comes as the NHS in the UK has decided it will no longer prescribe puberty blockers to children at gender identity clinics.

Work is on-going to design a trial here to determine who is suitable for blockers, and at what age.

Dr. Donal O'Shea of the National Gender Service says it's clear current practices are wrong.
