It'll start in early 2022 and is expected to take three years to complete.
Virgin Media Ireland has announced it's investing 200 million euro to upgrade it broadband network.
The company says the move to a full fibre system will enable speeds of up to 10 GigaBytes per second and impact more than a million homes and businesses.
It says the upgrade work will see more than 500 jobs created.
