Wicklow Man Could Be Jailed In Dubai For Sending "Threatening" Emojis

Stuart Quiney, who's from Co Wicklow, is facing cybercrime charges over messages he sent last year, while living in Ireland.

An Irish man could be jailed in the UAE over 'threatening' emojis he sent to a person living in Dubai.

Stuart Quiney, who's from Co Wicklow, is facing cybercrime charges over messages he sent last year, while living in Ireland.

The 39-year-old was arrested in Dubai in September, after he arrived there for a short trip.

He remains there, awaiting a court date.

CEO of Detained in Dubai Radha Stirling, says Stuart was taking legal action against a Belgian man, who he claims took his belongings from an apartment in Dubai in 2022.
