The start of the PGA Tour's Players Championship has been delayed due to inclement weather.

All tees times have been pushed back by an hour at Sawgrass with thunderstorms in the area.

Shane Lowry will now tee off at around half 2 Irish time, with Rory McIlroy and Seamus Power both out on course this evening.

Meanwhile, Leona Maguire is seven shots off the lead on two-under-par after her first round at the Honda LPGA in Thailand.

Three players share the lead on nine-under.

The Cavan native carded two birdies and 16 pars in her bogey-free round of 70.

Meanwhile, Maguire has confirmed she will play in the ISPS Handa World Invitational in Antrim later this year.
