Former Dublin goalkeeper and manager Paddy Cullen has died at the age of 80 after a long illness.
He won three All-Ireland titles and four All-Star awards as part of 'Heffo's Army'.
Going for a third successive All-Ireland title in the 1978 final, Dublin were leading Kerry by a point late in the first half when Cullen was adjudged by Kildare referee Seamus Aldridge to have picked the ball off the ground.
While he was protesting, team-mate Robbie Kelleher handed the ball to Kerry free-taker Mikey Sheehy, who kicked the ball over a back-pedalling Cullen into the empty goal.
Cullen returned in 1979 for a sixth successive All-Ireland final, but the Kingdom won again. Cullen's performances won a fourth All-Star award.
He managed Dublin in 1990 and the following year, they won their first league title in 13 years against Kildare managed by Mick O'Dwyer.
Dublin went on to win two Leinster titles and reach the 1992 All-Ireland final, but lost to Donegal. It was his final game in charge.
