Shamrock Rovers are facing Conference League group stage football after losing the first leg of their Europa League play off by 4 goals to nil to Ferencvaros in Hungary last night.

The Hoops will now turn their attention to Sunday's SSE Airtricity League Premier Division table topping tie with Dundalk.

In the competition tonight, third placed Derry City are away to Drogheda United,

Shelbourne host Bohemians at Tolka Park,

And it's UCD versus St Patrick's Athletic.

Those trio of matches begin at 7.45.

There's an 8pm start in Ballybofey for the North West derby involving Finn Harps and Sligo Rovers.

 There are 4 games down for decision in the Tom Cross Transport JFC tonight.

 In Group 1 in Manguard Plus Hawkfield on Pitch 2 at 7.30, Ballykelly play Kill, while on Pitch 1 at 8, it’s Grangenolvin v Robertstown.

 At 8pm in Raheens, Rathcoffey play Straffan.

 Elsewhere, in Group 2 at 7.30 in St Laurence’s, Athgarvan play Rheban.

 Last night Castlemitchell defeated Kildangan 2-11 to 0-6.

In the UPMC IHC it finished Maynooth 1-14 Ardclough 2-6 and Broadford 3-16 St Laurence's 0-8.

ATHLETICS

Down runner Ciara Mageean bids for a medal in the 1500 metres at the European Athletics Championships in Munich this evening.

This morning, the men's 4 by 100 metres relay team race in the heats at 9am.

Louise Shanahan lines up in the semi finals of the 800 metres at ten minutes to ten.

And the women's 4 by 400 metres relay team are on the track for their heat just before 11am.

Shane Lowry played well on day one of the PGA Tour's BMW Championship in Delaware.

He shot a 5 under par round of 66 to lie in a tie for third place, two shots behind leader Keegan Bradley.
