Irish Women's Rugby Team Named To Play France In Six Nations Opener

The game takes place on Saturday

Ireland head coach Scott Bemand has selected Aimee-Leigh Costigan as his captain for the Women's Six Nations opener against France.

Dannah O'Brien has been selected at outhalf in one of four changes to the team that started against the USA last time out.

Anna McGann comes into the back three with Stacey Flood and Costigan.

Eve Higgins comes into the centre to partner Aoife Dalton and Emily Lane plays scrum-half.

The other change is in the engine room with Ruth Campbell making a championship debut beside Dorothy Wall.

Niamh O'Dowd, Neve Jones and Linda Djougang start in the front row while in the back row it's Brittany Hogan, Erin King and Aoife Wafer.
