Counties have not received official confirmation but word is filtering through to GAA top brass and county board officers that an announcement is imminent.
Mr McManus donated €100,000 to each county board back in 2018.
The donation from the JP McManus Charitable Foundation is reported to be evenly divided between GAA, camogie and ladies football clubs.
