2019 champion Judd Trump has been beaten in his World Championship quarter-final in Sheffield.

The English potter lost by 13 frames to 9 against Jak Jones in the best-of-25 match.

It will be the Welshman's first semi-final appearance after reaching the last-eight on his Crucible debut last year.

On the other table Kyren Wilson's lead has been cut to two frames.

John Higgins won the last three frames of the session to trail 9-7.

Jones will play the winner of the Ronnie O’Sullivan and Stuart Bingham match which resumes at half-two, all-square at four frames apiece.

While David Gilbert needs just three more frames to book his semi-final spot as he leads Stephen Maguire 10-6.
