The Kildare Senior Men travelled to play Sligo yesterday

The full time score was Kildare 1:16, Sligo 0:13.
 

The Kildare Senior Women's team defeated Dublin in Manguard Park Hawkfield, yesterday.

That game finished up Kildare 1:08, Dublin 0:08


And..the Kildare hurlers played against Kerry in Cedral St Conleth's Park, on Saturday.

The full time score was Kildare 2-28, Kerry 0-17.

 

SOCCER

Manchester City have crumbled to a 5-1 defeat, away at Premier League title chasers Arsenal.

They stay fourth, but are 15 points off leaders Liverpool.

Victory means Arsenal are back to within six points of leaders Liverpool.

Manchester United lost 2-nil at home to Crystal Palace, while Tottenham got past Brentford by the same score.
 

RUGBY

Jamie George has been added to England's 35-man squad ahead of their Six Nations clash with France.

The Saracens hooker missed this weekend's opening defeat to defending champions Ireland with a hamstring injury.

He's won 97 international caps in his career so far, and was captain until being replaced by Maro Itoje for this tournament.

 

RACING

Willie Mullins says he still intends to send Lossiemouth in the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival despite a bad fall yesterday.

The mare crashed out of the Irish Champion Hurdle after unseating Danny Mullins at the third last fence, in a race that was won by stablemate State Man.

The Carlow trainer says he hasn't discussed a change of plan with owner Rich Ricci and they are still heading for the Cotswolds in March.

Meanwhile there is racing action at Punchestown this afternoon.

The first of the 8 racecard goes to post at 1pm.
