Rory McIlroy’s disappointing performance at the Masters left him needing to take a break from the game

After three-weeks off, Rory McIlroy’s made an encouraging start to the Wells Fargo Championship.

With three to play of his opening round, he’s 3-under par and just two-shots off the course leader Kevin Streelman.

Seamus Power is 1-over with five to play.

While Shane Lowry’s first round is underway at 6.30pm on Thursday.
