Kildare hurlers began their Christy Ring Cup campaign in great style yesterday.

They scored 5 second half goals in beating Mayo by 5-26 to 0-11 points

Leading by 13 points to 8 at half time, Kildare added 5-13 n the second period to Mayo’s 3 points

Kildare’s next game is against London in St. Conleth’s Park next Saturday.  Time not confirmed yet, but likely to be 1pm.

This evening’s Kildare Scoreboard from 6.25 will review all the Kildare weekend sport, including manager interviews.

Graham Rowntree is set to be the new Munster head coach.

The former England international will replace Johann van Graan, who is to leave at the end of the season to join Bath.

Rowntree is the current forwards coach with the province.

They'll play Division 1B leaders Old Wesley away on Saturday week in the semi final

World number one Scottie Scheffler is the Masters champion.

The 25 year old American claimed the green jacket after a 3 shot win over Rory McIlroy at Augusta.

McIlroy shot a final round of 64 for his best ever Masters finish.

Shane Lowry ended in a tie for third on 5 under par, his best ever Masters result.

Mcllroy moves to 7th in the world rankings, with Lowry now 30th.

Seamus Power rises to 40th after finishing in a tie for 27th on his Masters debut.
