Wexford GAA and the Gardaí are to investigate an alleged attack on a referee on Sunday.
The incident is believed to have occurred following a Junior A football game at Whiterock Hill on Sunday morning.
The county board released a statement last night condemning "any threatening or abusive behaviour" towards referees and wishing the match officials a "speedy recovery".
