
Results from the local GAA scene at the weekend.
GAA
Beginning with the UPMC Senior Hurling Championship over the weekend and we now know three of the four semi-finalists.
Naas beat Maynooth 4-26 to 1-8 and Clane defeated Coill Dubh 1-17 to 1-14 in Group A.
Meanwhile in Group B, Celbridge overcame their North Kildare rivals Leixlip 4-31 to 1-18 while Confey were 1-13 to 0-15 winners over Ardclough.
That now means that Naas will play the winners of Clane and Confey in the semi final and Maynooth play Celbridge in the other last four decider.
In the Senior B Championship, the results are as follows:

SOCCER
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel doesn't want Anthony Taylor to referee his team again after their feisty London derby with Tottenham.
The German was sent off after clashing with Spurs boss Antonio Conte following the 2-all draw at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Tuchel feels both Tottenham goals should've been disallowed - and he wasn't happy with the officials.
In yesterday's other game, Nottingham Forest beat West Ham 1-nil.

St Patrick's Athletic boosted their hopes of achieving European qualification yesterday.
They beat Sligo Rovers 1-nil in their SSE Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Richmond Park.
Tonight, there's a Munster derby in the First Division.
Cork City and Waterford meet at Turner's Cross from 7.45pm.
ATHLETICS
The European Athletics Championships get underway in Munich later.
A total of 12 Irish athletes are scheduled to be involved in today's action.
Eric Favors is the first up at 9am in the Shot Put qualification rounds.
That's followed by the women's marathon, with Fionnuala McCormack, Aoife Cooke and Ann Marie Glynn among the participants.
SWIMMING
Mona McSharry will attempt to win a medal at the European Aquatic Championships in Rome this evening.
The Sligo swimmer is in the pool for the final of the 200-metre breaststroke shortly after 5pm.
McSharry qualified in fourth place overall.
Danielle Hill is among those in the pool later this morning in the 50-metre freestyle heats.
GOLF
American golfer Will Zalatoris has won his first PGA Tour title after taking victory at the St Jude Championship in Memphis.
He beat Austria's Sepp Straka on the third play-off hole to secure the win, after the pair finished the weekend on 15-under-par.
Shane Lowry was in a tie for 46th on four-under.

Leona Maguire says she will take a break before heading back to the US for the rest of the season.
The Cavan woman finished strongly to record a tenth placed finish on ten-under-par at the World Invitational at Galgorm in county Antrim yesterday.
Maja Stark of Sweden stormed to victory with 5 shots to spare on 20 under par.
Scotland's Ewan Ferguson won the men's event on 12-under.
CRICKET
Ireland take a 2-1 series lead into their fourth One Day International match with Afghanistan this afternoon.
The visitors took Friday's game in Belfast by 22 runs to keep the series alive.
The action gets underway in Stormont today at half past 3.
RACING
There's racing at Dundalk and Roscommon today.
The afternoon card goes to post in Dundalk with the first of 8 races going to post at ten-past-two.
