The Kildare Ladies footballers are Leinster Intermediate Champions, after beating Wexford in the final yesterday.

Played in glorious sunshine in O'Moore Park in Portlaoise, Diane O'Hora's side put in a superb performance to win by 2-12 to 1-8.

The Lilywhites claim back to back Leinster titles along with completing the League and Championship double.

Following yesterdays result, the Kildare ladies have been drawn into group A of the All Ireland Intermediate Championship.

They'll be joined by Leitrm and Louth.

In the All Ireland men's senior football round robin, in Kildare's group 3:

Dublin drew with Roscommon in Croke Park with the game ending 1-11 to 0-14.

Kildare play Dublin next Saturday in Nowlan Park, KIlkenny at 5pm.

In the Leinster senior hurling championship

Galway came back from 10points down to earn a draw against Dublin in Croke Park

It ended Galway 1-25 Dublin 2-22.

Wexford beat Kilkenny by 4-23 to 5-18.

Kilkenny will play Galway in the Leinster FInal on Sunday 11th June.

Westmeath were relegated to The Joe Macdonagh Cup after a 4-24 to 1-19 loss against Antrim.

Limerick will play Clare in the Munster senior hurling final on June 11th.

The All Ireland champions beat Cork by 3-25 to 1-30 at the Gaelic Ground.

The result means that Cork are out of the Championship, but Tipperary qualify despite a 1-24 to 0-21 defeat to Waterford in Thurles.

Soccer

The Premier League season came to an end yesterday.

Everton clinched survival with a 1-0 win at home to Bournemouth.

Leicester beat West Ham 2-1, but it was too little too late, and they exit the top flight seven years after winning the competition.

Leeds' three year stint in the Premier League ended with a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham.

Boxing

Katie Taylor says she has no plans to retire, after losing for the first time as a professional earlier this month.

She's instead targeting a rematch with England's Chantelle Cameron, who retained her undisputed light-welterweight world titles in Dublin.

Taylor says she doesn't know "what retirement means" and hopes to face Cameron in November.
