GAELIC GAMES
Naas were crowned AIB Leinster Intermediate Hurling Championship winners, after beating Oylegate/Glenbrien of Wexford in St. Conleth's Park, Newbridge yesterday afternoon.
The full time score was 3-12 to 1-11, with Jack Sheridan scoring two goals and Cathal Dowling with the other.
Brian Byrne and Sheridan knocked over some excellent points throughout the game also.
Naas now advance to the All-Ireland semi-final, where they will take on Tooreen of Mayo next Sunday.

In the Kehoe Cup yesterday, Kildare senior hurlers were beaten by Carlow 1-25 to 19 points.

On Saturday Kilcullen lost out to Clonbullogue of Offaly in the Leinster Junior Football final.
The full time score was Clonbullogue 5-3 Kilcullen 1-10.

In the O'Byrne Cup, Meath beat Wexford 1-15 to 1-10 and Laois were 2-14 to 1-11 winners over Wicklow.
That now means that Kildare will play Laois in a Laois venue next Wednesday, in the semi-final.

Two-time Young Footballer of the Year Óisín Mullin has committed to Mayo for the coming season.
The Kilmaine clubman had been expected to move to AFL side Geelong.
However, Mullin says that after consideration he has opted to stay in Ireland.
It comes as a boost to Mayo, who are preparing for their Allianz Football League Division One opener against Donegal at the end of the month.

Kilcoo of Down will play Cork's St Finbarr's in the All-Ireland club football semi-finals.
Kilcoo claimed yesterday's Ulster title with a 3-10 to 0-3 win over Fermanagh's Derrygonnelly Harps.
St Finbarr's overcame the challenge of Austin Stacks of Kerry by 2-9 to 1-10 to land the Munster crown at Semple Stadium.

They enjoyed a 4-29 to 0-11 win over Kerry in the semi-final yesterday.

Henry Shefflin has suffered his first loss as Galway hurling manager.
They lost 3-29 to 19 points to Dublin in the Walsh Cup at Parnell Park yesterday.

Power is now ranked at 49th in the world, one place below fellow Irishman Shane Lowry.

Ireland secured a historic series win over the West Indies last night.
The visitors won their third One Day International by two wickets at Sabina (pr: Sab-eye-nah) Park to seal a 2-1 series victory.
