They play Dundalk in Tallaght Stadium on the opening night of the new season

Shamrock Rovers will begin their attempt to win five League of Ireland Premier Division titles in a row tonight.

The Hoops welcome Dundalk to Tallaght Stadium on the opening night of the new season.

There is an 8pm kick off there.

The other matches kick off at 7.45.

Last year's runners up Derry City host Drogheda United.

There are two promoted clubs - last year's First Division winners Galway United are at home to St Pats - and the other promoted side - Waterford - take on Shelbourne.

The other match sees Bohemians and Sligo Rovers clash at Dalymount Park.
