Kildare senior hurlers play Mayo this afternoon, in the first round of the Christy Ring Cup.

The game throws-in at 1pm in Ballina Stephenites.

In the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie Division 1 league final, Galway beat Cork 2-14 to 1-13

Kildare will play in Division 3 League Camogie next season, following yesterday's loss to Tipperary, in the Division 2 Relegation Play-off.

The gaem in Stradbally finished 3-9 to 2-8.

Kildare beat Dublin in round 3 of the ladies football Leinster U16 Championship, 1-13 to 2-5.

Kildare, Dublin and Meath are now on 6 points each - final will be decided on score difference. 

SOCCER

The Premier League's top two clash in what could be a title decider this afternoon.

Liverpool travel to defending champions Manchester City with just 1 point separating the sides, ahead of the 4:30pm kick off.

RUGBY

Beginning locally, in the AIL Naas beat Old Belvedere 53-7 at Fournaughts yesterday, to clinch a 4th place Division 1B promotion play-off spot.

Naas will now play Division 1B leaders, Old Wesley awa,y in the division semi-final in two weeks time.

In Division 2B, MU Barnhall lost 28-45 at home to Nenagh

They're at home to Italy in round 3 with kick off at Musgrave Park at 5pm.

'Nobel Yeats' won the 2022 Grand National at Aintree.

The horse, at 50-1, was trained by Emmet Mullins, had amateur jockey Sam Waley-Cohen riding in his final race.
