The 25-year-old clocked a time of 57-point-95 seconds to finish sixth in her heat.
There was better news for Ellen Walshe in the 50-metre butterfly, as she set a new Irish senior record of 25-point-65 seconds to advance to the semi-finals.
In the men's 100-metre backstroke, John Shortt set a new Irish junior record with a time of 51.21.
