Johnny Sexton will miss Ireland's Six Nations match against France due to a hamstring injury sustained in training yesterday.
Athy's Joey Carbery replaces him at out-half.
It will be Carbery's first start in the Six Nations. The 26-year-old has won 28 caps, starting eight times.
Hugo Keenan starts at full-back with Andrew Conway and Mack Hansen on the wings.
Jamison Gibson-Park and Carbery are the half-backs. Bundee Aki and Garry Ringrose continue their partnership in the centre.
The front row is Andrew Porter, Ronán Kelleher and Tadhg Furlong, with Tadhg Beirne and James Ryan, who captains the side, in the second row.
