Tallaght's Rhasidat Adeleke finished 4th in the 400 metres final at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest
ATHLETICS
Rhasidat Adeleke finished 4th in the 400 metres final at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest last night.
The 20 year old from Tallaght ran to a time of 50 point 1-3 seconds as she just missed out on a medal.
Limerick's Sarah Lavin set a new national record by clocking 12 point 6-2 seconds in the semi finals of the 100 metre hurdles.
At the moment, Brendan Boyce is competing in the 35 kilometre walk.
Later this evening, Mark English lines up in the semi finals of the 800 metres.
And Brian Fay is in the heats of the 5000 metres.
Very measured and philosophical reaction from @rhasidatadeleke to her fourth place finish. Didn’t realise how much earlier the collegiate season started! @vmsportie pic.twitter.com/XEpHSm5iUS
