Leinster Under 20 football champions Kildare begin the defence of their title against Westmeath in Group 3 in Hawkfield at 7.30pm this evening.

Manager Brian Flanagan announced his team last night

In Group 1, Longford play Meath; Carlow play Laois at Netwatch Cullen Park.

In Group 2, Wicklow host Dublin in Baltinglass; Louth play Offaly

All of the matches begin at 7.30.

Due to the passing of Raheens Club President, Mai Campbell,  tonight’s Manguard Plus Minor Football League Div 1, Raheens V Celbridge is postponed.

Mai was 97 years of age,  Kfm extends its condolence.

Crystal Palace have turned to former manager Roy Hodgson as they bid to stave off the threat of relegation from the Premier League.

The former England boss has been appointed until the end of the season - with Dublin's Paddy McCarthy filling the role of assistant manager.

Hodgson was previously in charge between 2017 and 2021.
