The plans will add around 7,000 new seats to the stadium.

Munster will be without second row RG Snyman for Saturday's BKT United Rugby Championship game against the Sharks in Durban.

The South African second row has been ruled out of this week's final game of the regular season, after suffering a concussion in last weekend’s win against the Stormers.

Munster have confirmed the signing of centre Sean O'Brien from Exeter on a two year deal.

The 24 years old Westmeath native previously played for Connacht and the Ireland under 20's.

Rally driver Craig Breen was laid to rest today following a funeral Mass in Ferrybank.

Breen died following a test driving crash last Thursday, while preparing for the World Rally Championship's Croatia Rally.

The 33-year-old was due to make his second WRC appearance of the season in Croatia after finishing an impressive second at the Rally Sweden in February.
